The Friends of Clark Reservation will once again host a “First Day Hike” event on January 1, 2025 from 11 am to 2 pm.

About the event
The Friends of Clark Reservation will once again host a “First Day Hike” event on January 1, 2024 from 11 am to 2 pm. Participants are asked to bring a non-perishmable food item (optional) to check-in at the large pavilion, to donate to the Martin Luther King Jr. Food Drive. Food will be donated to the Food Bank of Central NY.
NOTE: Due to larger turnouts in recent years, THE GUIDED HIKES WILL BE LIMITED TO 30 PEOPLE EACH (20 people for “Walking with Wildlife”.) All participants must sign up online BEFORE JANUARY 1 at https://www.friendsofclarkreservation.org/events-1 , and then check in at the large pavilion on the day of the hike.
There will be four guided hikes this year: an easier "walking hike" (about an hour) on mostly flat or slightly inclined ground; a “moderate” hike, with some challenging terrain included (1 - 1.5 hours); and a “challenging” hike (about…
