About the event
The Friends of Clark Reservation will once again host a “First Day Hike” event on January 1, 2026 from 11 am to 2 pm.
NOTE: Due to larger turnouts in recent years, THE GUIDED HIKES WILL BE LIMITED TO 30 PEOPLE EACH. All participants must sign up online BEFORE JANUARY 1 at https://www.friendsofclarkreservation.org/events-1 , and then check in at the large pavilion on the day of the hike.
There will be two guided hikes this year: an easier "walking hike" (about an hour) on mostly flat or slightly inclined ground; and a more “challenging” hike, with some rugged terrain, rocky slopes, etc included (2+ hours). This is a family-friendly event; friendly dogs welcome (on leash only). Hikers are also encouraged to hike on their own due to the large numbers of people in recent years.
