About the event
The Friends of Clark Reservation has rescheduled their “First Day Hike” event for January 11, 2026 from 11 am to 2 pm. Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item (optional) to check-in at the large pavilion, to donate to the Food Drive. The food will be donated to the Food Bank of Central NY.
NOTE: Due to larger turnouts in recent years, THE GUIDED HIKES WILL BE LIMITED TO 30 PEOPLE EACH. All participants must sign up online by JANUARY 10 at https://www.friendsofclarkreservation.org/events-1, and then check in at the large pavilion on the day of the hike.
There will be two guided hikes this year: an easier "walking hike" (about an hour) on mostly flat or slightly inclined ground; and a more “challenging” hike, with some rugged terrain, rocky slopes, etc included (2+ hours).
