About the event

This event will begin with a 30 minute hike on the easy Mildred Faust Trail (mostly flat terrain), where hikers will learn firsthand about a number of invasive species and how/why they threaten indigenous plants, insects, and wildlife. We will then work at digging and removing invasive plant populations in the park. Appropriate hiking/work clothes are suggested, as well as sunscreen and bug repellent. All tools and gloves will be provided. This event is organized by Spencer Van Epps, NYS Central Region FORCES Program Specialist.
